The Country Pedaler | Hunter Hyatt

The Country Pedaler began in 2016 when a then–14-year-old Hunter Hyatt stepped into the world of vintage and upcycled décor with the encouragement of her grandparents, who once ran their own vintage shop in the 1970s and ’80s. Surrounded by stories, textiles, and the quiet magic of well-loved objects, Hunter developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship and the beauty of giving forgotten materials new life. Her grandmother also taught her to sew on a Singer Featherweight, sparking a creative thread that would later become the heart of her business.

Over the years, The Country Pedaler naturally evolved, shifting from home décor to upcycled fashion as Hunter continued experimenting with textiles and reclaimed materials. After welcoming her son in early 2025, she found herself with less time for the traditional ‘pickin’ that once fueled her vintage sourcing. That shift opened the door to deeper exploration at the sewing machine, and ultimately, a full embrace of creating one of a kind garments crafted from vintage linens and quilts.

Today, Hunter’s primary work at Reinvintage Warehouse includes upcycled pants, shorts, and overalls for both children and adults. Each piece pays homage to the makers who came before - women who once stitched feed sacks into dresses and later transformed those dresses into quilts. By reimagining those quilts into wearable art, Hunter preserves their history while giving them a vibrant new chapter. Every garment is a celebration of legacy, craftsmanship, and everyday stories woven into fabric.
