They say I have an old, tender soul. They may be right. Ever sense I can remember, I wanted to be a nurse. I didn’t really know what nurses did; I only knew my favorite Grandmother, Bobby, looked so pretty in her white uniform, and she was a tender, kind soul. So, I followed.

During my 45 years of nursing, I had many opportunities to care for those who were recovering, ill, and, or dying. Some of the most meaningful moments were during my Hospice work. Losing a loved one cannot be compared to anything else in life.

Being a Christian, I believe that God gives us the hope of eternal life, and therefore loosing someone to this life, only means that they are with Christ in heaven.

As a creator, I lend myself to restoring antiques, repurposing items and even rescuing a few ‘lost souls.’ I love to create and make things that have significant meaning; something that has a purpose.

This, poem, if you will, has always spoken to me creating a vision in my head of my “ANGEL CHAIR.”

Loved ones in heaven, what do they do?

They come down from heaven to spend time with you.

So, save them a seat, just one empty chair will do.

You may not see them, but they will be there with you.
