This chair began with a laugh—someone was selling something on Facebook Marketplace, and it sparked an idea. From that odd moment came a creative challenge when  Reinvintage Warehouse announced its “Re Seated” event.

Our family has faced cancer up close. Friends and loved ones have fought through it with courage and grit. We wanted to honor that strength in a way that felt personal, a little offbeat, and filled with heart.

The chair’s seat is shaped like my son’s guitar, inspired by his love of music—his way of expressing himself and finding peace. Music, like humor, has a way of getting us through hard things.

This piece is a tribute to the fighters, the survivors, and the caregivers. It’s about support—emotional, physical, and even structural. A place to sit, a place to rest, and a reminder that healing doesn’t always look serious.
