EMBROIDERED GARDEN FLAMINGO CHAIR

I lost my mother to breast cancer when I was only 6 years old. At 78, I am a breast cancer survivor, 11 years cancer free! Many of my friends are survivors and recently, a beloved family member began her journey as well. We find strength and encouragement and in sharing our stories…strength in numbers, as they say. I am stronger because of those who have shared their strength with me.

Among my friends are a group of “Flamingo Ladies” who just love those pink feathered creatures. They find joy in these awkward, but beautiful birds. Since embroidery is my “thing”, I have created several whimsical “pink bird” designs over the years. This unique awareness project was just the perfect opportunity for me to contribute in my own way.
