Oak Creek Naturals | Pam Sams
Oak Creek Naturals began with a small backyard honeybee apiary and a growing fascination with the incredible resources honeybees provide. As relatively new beekeepers, Pam Sams and her family immersed themselves in the beekeeping community, attending conventions, seminars, and connecting with fellow “beeks” who inspired them to explore the possibilities beyond honey production. After discovering the book Beeswax Alchemy, a new creative path emerged—one centered on handcrafted skincare made with ingredients sourced directly from their hives.
Their first experiments began simply with lip balm and soap, shared among friends and family like many artisan makers before them. The enthusiastic response encouraged them to officially launch Oak Creek Naturals at Spartanburg Spring Fling in 2017. Later that same year, they joined the summer artisan market at the then-named Vintage Warehouse on Union Street, beginning a longstanding relationship with what is now Reinvintage Warehouse. That season marked not only the beginning of their business journey, but also the start of a meaningful connection to Spartanburg’s creative small business community.
Today, Oak Creek Naturals offers handcrafted skincare products made by beekeepers with a focus on organic, non-GMO, plant-based, and environmentally responsible ingredients. Their collection includes customer favorites such as double-butter organic body soaps, honey and organic shea butter lotions and body butters, along with zero-waste shampoo and conditioner bars designed for sustainable everyday care. Every product reflects their commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship, skin-friendly ingredients, and the remarkable gifts provided by their beloved honeybees.
